Before anything goes to print it’s good to check the design for:
- CMYK design colors (to make sure you get the colors you want). Printers do not like RGB, Hex, Pantone, or other color schemes
- If you have fine details or small text, it is good to work and export your TIF or PDF file to 300 DPI, to avoid pixels, but when working on formats larger than 50cm / 50, 100cm / 100 or higher, you can work at 150 DPI. In very large 2m / 2m, 5m / 5m or larger formats you get 72 DPI
- The only time we need the original AI, PSD, CDR files is when you want us to interfere with graphics (which we do not like to do). Other formats we require are PDF, TIF, JPG.
- When you are worried about the end result or have doubts about colors, resolution or other details … we recommend you ask us for a sample … that we like to do.
Yes, for small projects there’s a fee but for big projects, the sample is free of charge after signing the collaboration contract.
Via the contact form inside the Contact page or at firstname.lastname@example.org. For large files that do not fit into the body of an email, we recommend that you use any form of online transfer (wetransfer.com, Dropbox, Google Drive). We do not accept phone orders, but we are available by phone for any details or concerns.
RGB is the abbreviation of Red Green Blue and these are the colors we generally use to form images on phone displays, monitors, or TVs. CMYK is the abbreviation of Cyan (blue) Magenta (pink/red) Yellow Black and these colors are used for printing. If your files are built on a RGB printing base, when we convert them to CMYK your images might suffer changes in color, brightness, hue. That’s why we strongly encourage you to send us CMYK files.
We prefer vector format (.pdf, .eps, .ai, .cdr, .etc), but you can also send .tif 1: 1 scale to 150dpi minimum.
Vector formats are editable (.pdf, .eps, .cdr, .ai) files that can be accessed and can be manipulated in different sizes and colors, without affecting the resolution.
The standard dimensions of a roll-up are 85cm wide and 200cm high, but there are also 100cm, 120cm wide systems and 150cm on special order. The size of a pop-up spider varies from system to system, but generally, the 3×3 system is 345cm wide and 230cm high (270×230 visual), the 3×4 system is 440cm wide and 230cm high (360×230 visual).
The banner is an opaque or semi-opaque material with variable weight starting at 440g / m2. The mesh is a semi-transparent perforated material weighing 260-320g / m2, used for exposure on giant surfaces through which the wind can pass, thus reducing the risk of detachment from the support on which it is mounted.
